Thankful Thursday

Last weekend something happened that made me realize that life is indeed a blessing, and on top of that Ate Jho’s mom passed away …

Ever since I was young I have witnessed some family members pass away (though they lived far from us); but being a child, I must admit I wasn’t really that affected. However, as I grew older, I have come to appreciate what it means to have friends and family around us.

I am so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to enjoy other person’s presence, including the individuals in the different communities here in the internet. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to write this down and have this feeling that we are not alone.

God is always behind us, beside us, watching over us.

In spite of all that has happened, I still feel blessed.

And very much thankful for everything.

Thankful Thursday

Honestly, I’m just thankful to be alive!

These past few weeks I have been feeling a bit unwell … maybe it’s because I haven’t been sleeping enough. That’s why the past few days I really made it a point to sleep early (like around 10pm, instead of my “usual” 1:30am-2am); and I guess that it must really be the lack of sleep since after just a week of sleeping early, I have been feeling much better. Or maybe it must also be this conscious effort to eat healthy meals, too. But it feels good to feel good!
Do I make sense there?

Hoping and praying that I won’t be tempted to sleep late again!

I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.

Thankful Thursday

It’s Thursday again … time to reflect and be thankful!

• I am so thankful that we managed to survive a short “crisis” recently; some harsh words were spoken, though not yet totally forgotten, but totally forgiven.
• My mother got hospitalized a while back and being anemic, she had to undergo blood transfusion; she’s out of the hospital now, and my sister told me that she’s already doing fine.
• I am so thankful that my son loves going to school and even if sometimes I have to prod him to do his homework, arrange his stuffs and get things ready for the next school day, he does so without any complaints.
• I am so thankful to be ALIVE!

God doesn’t require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.

Thankful Thursday

It’s feels great to be doing this again … got busy the past few days.

I am so thankful because:

• I finally have a chance to get some much needed rest …
• More sleeping time for me! YES!
• More time to be doing Thankful Thursday again …
• I finally reached (and exceeded even) the amount that I needed, through my being a problogger
• My loved ones are fine, and I am alive! lol … no, nothing drastic happened (and I hope and pray it stays that way!)
• I have the chance to learn … learn whatever it is I want to learn … love the FREEDOM!

We’re very thankful for what we’ve got, so God forbid we start taking it for granted.

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful for the following things that happened the past few days:

• time for myself … I actually made time for myself!
• what I did with that “time for myself” thing? I slept!
• the downside, though, is that I didn’t get to bloghop more often and visit your wonderful posts … but I know you’d rather have a happy blogger your way rather than a disgruntled one! so I know you’re thankful I didn’t bloghop!
• more $$$ came in this week with my problogging activities! am not trying to raise a million here … just enough to help me with my Christmas list!
• and last, but never the least: my family (and that includes my in-laws, too!) for just being there.

Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful ….

• … that I have learned so much the past few days
• … that the weather has finally cleared
• … that next week my sister will be visiting, together with my nephew
• … that another great week has gone by
• for the delivery services made available by restaurants, when I am too lazy and tired to cook.

Thankful Thursday

Nothing much has been happening lately … and for that I am already thankful!

• I am so thankful to have met lots of friends online …
• … so thankful that we have more than what we need for our daily needs
• … that I have the luxury to stay glued to the computer whenever I want to
• … that I am living quite near my family … for me, nothing beats the reassurance I get from knowing that a family member is always nearby
• … so thankful for Thankful Thursday since this does help me get in touch with the little things that might seem insignificant, but is actually all that matters (like the hugs from my son and hubby, and the “i love you’s” showered between and among family members throughout the day).

Thankful Thursday

It’s that day again!

This day has been busier than the usual … but it’s nothing to be stressed about.

• So thankful that I have my family around me, safe and sound.
• The sun did manage to take a peek for a few hours before it rained again!
• Am glad that it’s not so hot anymore during the day (and at night!).
• So happy that I can help financially, even if I am just staying here at home (and stays glued to the computer )
• Last, but never the least, that I woke up as usual, and did the usual routines, with no glitch or whatsoever.

So thankful and feeling so blessed!

Thankful Thursday

Being thankful doesn’t come easily to some people, and I am like that at times, too. Sad isn’t it? But I’m slowly (but surely, I hope!) trying to be thankful in everything that’s been happening around me … and here is a short list of what I’m thankful for these past few days:

• … it is with God’s grace that I wake up each day, ready to face a new day
• … seeing my son recovering from the colds
• … having the time to do what I love doing: blogging (and get paid for doing it! lol), dabble with my shots using different softwares, taking pictures, reading, and spending quality time with my family
• … being sorrounded by family (I’m always thankful for their support and guidance)
• … and having ample time to be just alone with my thoughts.

I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.

Thankful Thursday

Nothing much has been happening lately, and I guess for that I am thankful!

But here are some “little” things that happened this past week that really meant a lot to me:

• Seeing my sister again (well, it has only been about four months since we’ve seen each other, but usually it’s us who visits them, not the other way around), when her work required that she visit their main office (which is just around two blocks away from us).
• A new chair/storage chest being made for us, which will be finished by this week.
• We got to try a new restaurant which served breakfast buffet style (eat-all-you-can!) at a very affordable price, and the food tasted really great! Our son wanted to eat there again (usually the only restaurants he likes are Japanese!).
• The whole family (my in-laws) will be together again this weekend (but it is a sort of sad occasion; it’s going to be the 40th day since my FIL passed away).
• … and last, but not the least, I am always thankful for the wonderful blessings; those “little blessings” that sometimes we just don’t seem to notice when we’re busy: an understanding pat, a child’s hug, a hubby’s encouraging words, and your family telling you ” … love you!” every chance that they can get.
