Last week (Holy Week) was a relatively peaceful (and restful!) time for my family and I; we spent most of the time just staying at my mother-in-law’s house and occasionally visited the church. I’m really thankful for having been given that opportunity.

Another thing that I’m really thankful for is that it’s my son’s birthday today (he turned 9!); and he’s pretty excited about it. No fancy parties, or anything. We’ll just spend the day together with my sisters and their respective families.

I am so thankful for all the blessings my family and I have received lately; and that doesn’t mean the financial part only, but mostly the love, support, and understanding that each of us have for one another.

Thankful Thursday

It’s the Holy Week for us here, and also the time when most offices are close. That means hubby will be with us for the rest of the week! I am really thankful to be having quality time together with my family. I am also thankful that we have the opportunity to go visit relatives and other family members, too. Yup, we will be going to the province in a few hours, and am getting pretty excited about the idea.

All this is possible because of what Jesus unselfishly did for us … gave up His Life so that we may live.

Thankful Thursday

These past few days, as usual, not much has been happening. And am really so thankful for that. I mean, to be able to just laze around (of course, the household chores can’t be avoided, but they can wait. lol.) and not be pressured to do anything is a wonderful blessing enough for me!

Oh yeah, almost forgot: I won’t be able to buy my camera next month, after all. That might seem like tough luck, but I say it is a blessing! That means I have more time to really think about which camera to buy (am really still undecided between the 40D and the 450D! ). Maybe anyone can give me any inputs?

Thankful Thursday

It’s Thankful Thursday once again, one of those special days during the week!

It has been raining for the past few days, hence the nights are relatively cooler, and am really thankful about that! Though some parts of the country are experiencing difficult times because of the continuous rainfall … I hope and pray that no lives will be lost because of the landslides and floodings that might occur.

I am thankful because this Saturday will be my mom’s birthday and the family is planning a surprise for her … a birthday celebration located at the beach, a place which holds special memories for her.

I am also so thankful that after a few months I will be able to get my first ever dslr (digital single lens reflex) camera! Yup, am really determined to finally buy one this time … am still not sure about the model, though, but it’s definitely going to be a Canon (am kind of biased since my first two digital cameras were canon and I loved using them!).

Am feeling much better these days and for that I am really THANKFUL!

Not much has been happening lately, but my mother which was hospitalized last week because of respiratory problems has already gotten out of the hospital; and we are continually praying for her full recovery…

Am also very much thankful for having a very understanding son as well as a caring hubby, and the love our extended families have for each other. Having everybody’s support (and giving support as well) is such a huge blessing!

Am not feeling so well right now, but I just can’t let the day pass without me posting for this week’s Thankful Thursday!

I would really like to thank the Lord for everything that has happened, specially within the past few days … it has made our family closer together and helped us realize that no matter what happens we will always be there for each other, together with our faith in the Lord.

I really take great comfort in knowing that everything that has happened I can leave “behind”, and give my full trust in the Lord, for I know that it is within His plans.

It’s Thankful Thursday again!

Ever since I was small we have been taught by not only our teachers, but also by our parents, that we should always be thankul for everything that happens. It might seem insignificant to others, but being thankful is a great act.

Yesterday I got something from the mail (yeah, the SNAIL mail! lol) and that’s it below:

Actually, I was thinking it would be those “babies”, but it looks like it was another surprise: my Dove Gift Pack!

Another great thing that happened this week was that my son got some perfect scores in their unit tests! I have slowly been trying to let him study on his own (he’s now 8years old) these days so that he will develop the habit of studying by himself, and not wait for me to prod him all the time!

And last, but not the least: I have been feeling much better these days again!
I guess all those happenings during the past month has been kind of taxing for me; but am so glad that lately I have been feeling like myself again.

So great to be alive and thankful!

Thankful Thursday

It has been some time since I’ve done this … my own fault, really. I was trying to steer clear of the computer, for some much needed rest! But this time, I just couldn’t resist … I feel like I have “neglected” my being thankful to the Lord for so long!

Something short, but expresses what I am really most thankful for:

• I am most thankful for being alive and having the freedom to live as I want to live … some are not as lucky, I know.

Thankful Thursday

Last weekend something happened that made me realize that life is indeed a blessing, and on top of that Ate Jho’s mom passed away …

Ever since I was young I have witnessed some family members pass away (though they lived far from us); but being a child, I must admit I wasn’t really that affected. However, as I grew older, I have come to appreciate what it means to have friends and family around us.

I am so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to enjoy other person’s presence, including the individuals in the different communities here in the internet. I am so thankful for having the opportunity to write this down and have this feeling that we are not alone.

God is always behind us, beside us, watching over us.

In spite of all that has happened, I still feel blessed.

And very much thankful for everything.

Honestly, I’m just thankful to be alive!

These past few weeks I have been feeling a bit unwell … maybe it’s because I haven’t been sleeping enough. That’s why the past few days I really made it a point to sleep early (like around 10pm, instead of my “usual” 1:30am-2am); and I guess that it must really be the lack of sleep since after just a week of sleeping early, I have been feeling much better. Or maybe it must also be this conscious effort to eat healthy meals, too. But it feels good to feel good!
Do I make sense there?

Hoping and praying that I won’t be tempted to sleep late again!

I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.
