Every now and then my family and I enjoy playing computer games (whether it’s online or not), specially if nobody’s using the other computer. We’ve downloaded different games already in one computer that we’ve gotten to calling it the gaming computer! So when a chance came for me to download a new game which was just recently launched by Legacy Games, titled The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes, I immediately jumped at the chance!

After downloading the game (it was so easy!) I wasted no time and started playing. I found out that there are 16 different cases that you have to solve, and as you progress the game gets harder. Different methods like finding hidden objects, deduction methods, and even sudoku-like puzzles, are just a few of the fun ways to solve each cases, together with Sherlock Holmes and his trusted confidante Dr. John Watson. The different cases (murder, forgery, and theft, among others) revolves around some of the historical locations in London.

Am still not halfway through the game yet, since my son’s on it right now! Some great feature that I like is that there can be different players, stop whenever you like (but am sure you wouldn’t want to do that anytime soon!), and get back to your game anytime the way you left it! Am so enjoying this!

Things have slowed down a bit for my family and I lately, and am so happy for the additional sleeping time!

• am thankful that we had the chance to visit my MIL last weekend { and that means I got to see my SILs, too! }
• thankful for my gift last weekend and that hubby installed the wifi connection as soon as we arrived home
• it’s great to be seeing my sister and nephew again { they arrived yesterday afternoon }
• am really relieved that the weather has cooled down a bit … and it’s less humid these days!
• thankful for the roof over our heads and the food on our table … and the freedom to worship the Lord whenever and wherever we want.

Got something new last weekend … a fully loaded Dell Inspiron 1420.

Hopefully, this will make logging into the internet easier and more convenient (as long as there is a connection, of course!); immediately installed my camera’s software so that I can download the shots whenever and wherever! Then hubby told me that the computer’s already equipped with a card reader!!!

Still getting the hang of things; quite different from our desktop (which is now mostly being used by hubby and son for their online and offline gaming).

So far, so good.

Every time we visit the mall, we never fail to drop by the book store. Even if we end up not buying anything, we just love browsing through the books and see the different topics and newest additions. Usually, though, we end up buying one, or two. So now we have many books and no decent book cases! I know we should make that a priority (the book case), but so far we haven’t seen one that we really like; or maybe we’d just have one custom-made for us, huh?

Before leaving for the province last weekend, my family and I went to the mall and got ourselves some toys; I got my “gadget” while my son got another game for his Nintendo DS Light! Guaranteed not to keep us bored during the trip! Hubby didn’t get anything for himself, though … the two gadgets that we got were expensive enough!
