That’s soul food for me … Just simply pork boiled-tender together with tanglad (lemongrass), ginger, onion, potatoes, and pechay (native cabbage), cooked outdoors. Of course, you need to add salt, too! lol. Tastes great together with hot, steamy rice ….

The dish kind of reminds me of Sinigang. Please excuse my ignorance but is this a Tagalog dish or did it originate from the provinces? Great picture. The food looks so appetizing.

hi Panaderos, this dish is indeed similar to sinigang … but much more closer to nilagang karne since “nilat-an” means “nilaga” in tagalog. went to your site, but couldn’t make a comment since your site don’t allow anonymous comments … loved that “breakfast tray” inside your hotel room … so convenient! thanks for the visit, and happy weekend!

Waaaaa! Grabe naglaway jud ko…this is so comfort food for me! Homecooked…although lami pud ang sa Cafe Laguna ani but nothing (hahahah) beats my mother’s. Biased kaayo. I also cook pod ini…with tanglad and lots of luy-a…pero ang ako amateur lang to… Post a comment
