Shot taken after a short rain. It’s great that it still rains every now and then; makes the weather cooler. Still, it gets to be so humid at times. But I guess that’s part of summer!

While living in the province (Bukidnon), we used to have this big space for the garden. I had no idea what plants to put, but eventually I managed to add some bougainvilleas, roses, some orchids, and even a mango and a pine tree! Yeah, the area was really quite big. We thought that we might put a hammock chair there, too. But that didn’t materialize since we had to move when hubby was transfered to another job location. It would be nice going back there again, specially now during this hot weather!

Zen tagged me to do this meme, which is called the Kind Fives and you have to list five kind things you do for yourself; five kind things you do for your closest friend, partner or child and five kind things you have done for a stranger. You then have to Tag five people.
1. I give myself a rest whenever I feel really tired. Five kind things I do for my son: 1. I make sure that he doesn’t get late for school (meaning I wake up early … but it’s summer now. lol) List five kind things I have done for a stranger: 1. Smile. I’m not tagging anyone, but if you feel that you want to do this, then please, do so! Just don’t forget to leave me a comment so that I can go visit you, too!

Would you like to lose weight? I know I would! lol. Well, actually I would really love to tone some parts of my body and maybe in the process I would lose some of those excess weight. I know some people go to gyms to do that, but I am really not that excited when it comes to going out of the house just to do some exercises. Have thought of buying some exercise gadgets, though. That way, I can still do some exercises in the comforts of my own home!

When I was still in high school, which was quite a long time ago, Drug Abuse was just starting to be a problem in our school. It wasn’t that blown-up yet, but some batchmates were rumored to be under some illegal drug’s influence. The rumored students weren’t my close friends, but I believe that they must have a reason why they decided to choose that path. Since our school was kind of strict, some students were expelled but not after they were given warnings first. I feel really sorry for them, but I was really wondering why they couldn’t resist the temptation. But it’s a personal thing. When I moved on to college I did have some classmates who were habitual users; they were not the violent types, though. Or maybe I just didn’t know. But they did graduate. I just hope that they decided to accept help when it was offered to them. Some of them might be disciplined enough to stop, but I’m sure that some of them would have difficulties. There are now lots of drug rehabilitation centers where affected persons can find help; so you can choose the right center for you or for the affected person. What’s important, though, is that the affected person realizes that he/she needs help. Then tries to find the much needed help he/she needs. |
