Lensbabies

Got these around two months ago … and it’s back in their original boxes again since I still don’t have a dslr. hahaha. I know, I said earlier that I will be buying a dslr before summer starts, but it looks like it will have to be longer than that! Something came up and I had to use some of my “camera savings”.

Oh well … just hoping (and praying) that something real good will happen soon and I will have the cash before summer starts!

Vacation Time!

Have you thought about having a March Break Vacation? A friend who’s taking his doctorate certainly is thinking about it! He thinks it’s going to be a good time to go on a vacation with his family this month and have fun! I guess he wants to get away from all his studies for a bit and just go out with his family for a wonderful adventure! I definitely agree that he needs a vacation (or a break!) from school since he has been so busy lately with his researches and case studies (coupled with his job!), that sometimes his wife and sons complain that he’s not around most of the time anymore. It’s sometimes sad that he can’t even attend those his sons’ school parent-teacher meetings since he just can’t spare his time. It’s a good thing his wife is always there, though. She’s such a dedicated wife and mother to her kids that I really admire her for that!

When I mentioned that they should try one of those hotel promotions (during the break), they easily agreed to the idea since it would be a wonderful time for family bonding. I really hope that their plan will push through … I know they’ll love the break as well as the time to be together as a family!

A Friend’s Decision …

A former college classmate who’s now living abroad wanted so much to visit those New York City Attractions, but since the first time she arrived there she didn’t have her kids with her, she decided to postpone her trip. But now that her kids are with her, they have finally decided to ride those double decker buses (in one of the tours available)! I was so happy for her when she told me about it a few days ago. I mean, she have always wanted to visit the city, but not without her sons. Really so sweet!

Since her hubby will be arriving there a couple of weeks from now, I guess they will wait for him so that the whole family can go and have a wonderful time together! I’m so sure that they’ll enjoy their stay there since this has been one of their dreams (to visit NYC) ever since they planned to go abroad. Since she loves shopping, I think they might hit one of the shopping centers there, then maybe visit some museums, watch the Statue of Liberty, and even the Empire State Building! Thinking about their trip is making me so excited for them!

I just hope that she won’t forget to take pictures and send them over when she can!

Yesterday we attended my son’s taekwondo promotion test … from being a high blue belter, he’s now promoted to being a low red belter!

Going anywhere this summer?

Summer is almost here, and what better way to cool off than to go somewhere where you can relax and have fun! I have noticed that hotel deals are being advertised more frequently these past few days, and I guess that’s so that they can get the most clients.

Am not so sure where we’ll be going this summer, but if my sister and my nephew are coming here, then I guess we might not be going far. It would be nice to be going back to the province, though. I miss home.
