It’s the Holy Week for us here, and also the time when most offices are close. That means hubby will be with us for the rest of the week! I am really thankful to be having quality time together with my family. I am also thankful that we have the opportunity to go visit relatives and other family members, too. Yup, we will be going to the province in a few hours, and am getting pretty excited about the idea.

All this is possible because of what Jesus unselfishly did for us … gave up His Life so that we may live.

Thankful Thursday

Took this shot one ‘early’ morning (it was almost 7am) while we dropped our son off to his school … he woke up late and so when his school bus arrived to pick him up he wasn’t done yet. Hubby and I decided to bring him to school that day.

Did a bit of photoshop tinkering here … Quite a ‘messy shot’ because of the dangling wires, but that’s pretty common around here. I wish it wasn’t like that, though. Those red dangling thingies signifies that there’s a fiesta going on in that area; not celebrated much like in the provinces (they really do prepare great feasts there!), though.

It’s already the Holy Week around here … most of the people from the city are already off to their respective provinces, or maybe off to a resort or vacation getaway somewhere.

It drizzled for a bit while we were about to leave the house last Saturday … I think it was a good photo opportunity, though our car’s windshield could have been cleaner!

Weekend Snapshot

A friend told me about a recent purchase that she made, a yoga dvd, which she said that she plans on taking up one of these days. I don’t know much about yoga, so that really got me interested. I hope that she’ll tell me any feedback real soon when she starts with the program. Who knows, I might get one of those, too!

There are certainly days when I have thought of joining a fitness group here near our place, but I must admit I am lazy. lol. I mean, I’d rather buy a fitness equipment that I like rather than go to the gym! Hubby feels differently, though, and that’s why he is a member in one of the fitness groups here. It’s just too bad he seldom finds the time to visit the gym, though, because of his work schedule.

Hopefully, he’ll find the time to visit more often this summer.

This one was quite easy; with the help of ready-made tomato sauce! Just browned some meat (honestly, I prefer ground meat), added the tomato sauce, then some spices and the cheese (of course! that’s a MUST in our household). I used fettucine (wondering why it’s green? because that’s with spinach! lol) and when they were cooked I just mixed both the finished sauce and the pasta!

Anybody hungry? Let’s eat!

It’s graduation time here in our country, and so most high school graduates are probably going to college by next school year. Some people who are so into fashion I know would love to have the chance to study and find fashion schools in california. Not only that, some of them actually know which fashion school in california they’d prefer studying! I learned from a couple of them that there are some good fashion schools in los angeles, too, and since some of their relatives live there, then they have decided to go there.

Whatever their decision, I hope that they get the opportunity that they truly deserve, knowing it’s a step closer to their dreams.

It’s really sad when a person gets to the point that he can’t control himself and needs drug treatment. I believe, though, that the first thing the person should do is accept the fact that he has a problem, in order for him to recover. Sending an unconvinced person to a drug rehab center would just be like throwing away money.

Don’t you think so?

These past few days, as usual, not much has been happening. And am really so thankful for that. I mean, to be able to just laze around (of course, the household chores can’t be avoided, but they can wait. lol.) and not be pressured to do anything is a wonderful blessing enough for me!

Oh yeah, almost forgot: I won’t be able to buy my camera next month, after all. That might seem like tough luck, but I say it is a blessing! That means I have more time to really think about which camera to buy (am really still undecided between the 40D and the 450D! ). Maybe anyone can give me any inputs?

Thankful Thursday

Yup, that’s one of our neighbor’s cats. Sometimes my father feeds them, and he doesn’t like it when our dogs chases them around. The cats aren’t that cozy with us, though. They still act kind of ‘wild’ so we don’t try to touch them, or anything. Of course, I can take their pictures and sometimes they don’t mind. Or maybe I was just lucky that day.
