It’s summer here now, and I have noticed that the sunsets are getting more ‘dramatic’ these days …

I must admit, every time my family and I get the chance to sleep in a hotel (or inn), the first thing that I check (after the bed, of course, lol) would be the bathroom. Some of them are really quite nice, with elegant bathroom vanities. Not all of the hotels are finely decorated, though, so we had to settle for the ‘usual’. But there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, as long as there is both hot and cold water available, we’re satisfied already. Except for our son, though; he prefers hotels with bathtubs since he gets to play longer in the bathroom!

Do you have life insurance? I do, but it’s nothing big. I mean, it’s just something that I took when my sister decided to be an insurance agent. I am already done with the payments (with my parents helping, since I wasn’t around to do the paying), and am glad! I wasn’t that particularly pleased with the way my account was handled (my sister left after a year), and there were some discrepancies when the company decided to merge with another insurance company. But of course, not all insurance companies are like that. You could be luckier!

When I was younger, some of my classmates were really quite conscious of their weight and some even went online looking for top diet pills. I have nothing against that, but I believe that you have to be careful when it comes to doing something to our bodies. They were not that desperate, though, and what they did was mostly try different diet programs. Unbelievably, some of them did get thinner, but the weights came back again, usually after summer vacation. We still see each other every now and then, and still joke about our weights. But the good thing is: we’re happier now, and content with how life has turned for each and everyone of us. |
