Weekend Snapshot: Sparrows

Found these sparrows while hubby and I were ordering our food. I really liked the way the birds seemed to be surveying their territories. Or maybe they were just looking for something to eat.

I believe the house next door had some caged birds since we kept hearing those twittering sounds even after the sparrows had already left.

I think it’s really great trying on new things, like crafts and stuffs. I love digiscrapping, and sometimes if I’ve got the time I try to scout the internet for some freebies. Sometimes I buy online, too, if I really want it that bad.

But do you know that you can learn origami online, too? You could watch some origami videos and learn. Hubby is so good when it comes to origami, since he loves the art. I tried it more than once, but I just can’t seem to follow the instructions! My sister bought a book where you can make a mask through origami, and for the life of me I just couldn’t get it! Or maybe it’s because I was still young, then (around twelve years old), and quite impatient.

It has been ages since I’ve read that book. Too bad it’s not here, but at my parent’s house in the province. Maybe if we get the chance to visit them this summer I’ll read that book again. Let’s see if I have more patience this time!

Reminiscing

My aunt and uncle who used to live in California have always wanted to go visit Las Vegas. They did, before coming back here to live near the ocean. They laughingly reminisced all the memorable things that happened when they visited the place finally with friends, and stayed in some hotels in Vegas.

They enjoyed their vacation there, but said that they might not go back there again. Their reason: their age! They say that they are too old for the fun and excitement that Las Vegas has to offer!

If you have a car, or you know somebody who owns a car, and plans to sell them soon for scrap, then you should tell them about CarAngel.com. It’s a non-profit company where you can donate car, and they, in turn, can help teenagers through their videos and dvds. They are said to have already given away 2.4 million videos!

Picture-taking …

I think it’s really great taking night life pictures! I love taking shots, but too bad my current camera isn’t really good when it comes to night shots. That’s why usually I just limit my shots during the day. My first camera took great night shots, though. But it couldn’t take good macro shots; I had lots of fun with it, though. Imagine getting your very first digital camera and you’re so excited that you wanted to play with it immediately! Know what I did? Nope, I didn’t take pictures of myself (hahaha, why didn’t I think of that before!), but immediately went outside and took shots of just about everything!

I plan to get myself a dslr soon, though. But somehow I keep putting it off: I really think it’s too expensive. I mean, there’s always something that’s more important (and a whole lot cheaper!) which keeps cropping up.

Oh well. One of these days.

Word of Caution: research!

People these days go “under the knife” in the hope that they will look much better and ultimately feel much better about themselves. Sometimes, though, specially in nose jobs, you might need revision rhinoplasty after a year, or even a few months! There could be lots of reasons why you needed revision surgery, but it does happen. It is an expensive habit, I’ve noticed.

Nowadays it’s not only the movie stars who are intent on making themselves look beautiful, but almost everybody loves the idea! Honestly, I would be tempted, too, but it’s just not within our budget, lol. I think it’s great that these beauty secrets are now available to everybody (who can afford them!). But I must admit, a word of caution: research!

Yes, it’s good and all, but I think that you should do some research first before you try it yourself. Ask around, and check out the pros and cons. You’ll be glad you did!

Movie Stars

Have you noticed the way some movie artists suddenly seemed to be so gorgeous and beautiful all of a sudden? I guess it could be due to San Francisco plastic surgery for some, while I must admit for others it could be due to all that exercise, dieting, and simply learning how to deal with daily stress!

Just yesterday I was watching this television program about some “beauty secrets” being maintained by the movie stars and gosh … some of them were really quite extravagant! I mean, talk about paying more than a thousand dollars just for a teeny-weeny beauty regimen!

I guess it is a necessity for some of them; since, after all, we pay to watch them on the big screen! They have to protect and maintain their looks. I guess it is a hectic life and one that I know I wouldn’t be comfortable! But I shouldn’t be worried: I am definitely not big screen material! LOL

Personal thoughts …

These days if we don’t feel comfortable withe some parts of our body all we have to do is have them “changed”. You can go visit some surgeons, like an Orlando cosmetic surgeon, or whoever is near your area. Sometimes it’s not that drastic (not that noticeable), but I must admit at times it can be so obvious.

There are good surgeons out there, and if you really want the job to be done real good, then it’s best that you do some research first before you literally go “under the knife”. I have read of some reports and court cases which involves malpractices. Personally, though, even if you have the concerned persons sued (and you won), it’s still wouldn’t change the fact that something went wrong. So, to be safe, it is always a good idea to take your time and do additional research. It never hurts to go the extra mile, specially in something as serious as this!
