weekend snapshot

am so hungry for a brownie right now…

It’s rainy time here once more, and since our car doen’t have a cover yet, hubby and I are thinking of going to a car shop and take a look at their car covers. I must admit, though, I’m not so sure if we really need it since hubby use the car everday!

But still, I guess it can prove to be useful, if we go on a holiday and we need to have a car cover to keep it safe from the dust and those occassional bird droppings!

Last weekend we went to the mall and visited some cybershops; we actually went there to look for a Wii. Good thing we found some stores which had them on sale, but since our son wasn’t with us, we decided against getting one that time. Instead, we placed an order for a desktop because our old one finally conked out. We went looking for some used cisco routers, too, but didn’t find one that we specified.

Anyway, it’s a good thing we finally got the desktop that we ordered, because now I can go online!

Looks like this street is starting to feel Christmassy already …

Finally managed to transfer some of my paypal money to my bank account already! yeheyyyy!!!!

We already did the “rounds”, looking for the “cheapest” Nintendo Wii out there. So far, they are more or less the same … costs around Php22,000. Anyway, like what I mentioned before, am so sure the price won’t be going down this time … so I guess we’ll go ahead and buy it. Hopefully, before we go to the province. Well, we should!

Yup, we will be spending Christmas there (province).

Do you know that some sites that feature free chat also have phone chat? Pretty interesting, for me, since I thought that you can only chat via the web through your computer (and your webcam, if you’ve got one)! That just shows how way behind I am when it comes to chat lines and how they have evolved through the years! I’m learning …

A friend sent me a link to one hilarious Elf Yourself thingy that she did yesterday, and boy, it was really funny! Well, it was funny for me, anyway.

I think it’s a neat thing, but you need to upload some face pictures to make it more “personal”. Haven’t tried it yet, but when I’ve got the time, (and the faces! lol), will definitely give this a try.

Most teens nowadays are already technologically adept in handling computers; quite unlike my time! When I was growing up, specially during my teen days, we didn’t have computers. We had pen and paper to make reports and write letters. So different from the kids these days! But I’m glad that the internet and computer were invented; it certainly helps lessen the use of papers and the cutting of trees!

One thing that I like about internet, though, is that I find new things everyday! Yes, it keeps me glued to the computer (aside from having fun with photoshop and digiscrapping). I found out just recently that chat lines are now available for teens! I thought they were only for adults, but now there is also a site that features teen chat! What makes them popular is that activities such as this is free, so if you want to avail of their free chat feature, you can! Easily.

Isn’t the internet just great? But of course, like everything else, be a responsible user!

Passed by here two weekends ago … that’s the clock at the Manila City Hall (while below the shot you can see two jeepneys ~ parts of them, anyway).
We normally don’t pass this place (because of the traffic in getting there!), but I love the area.

I like it’s “old charm”.

Tried playing with one of my shots … an experimental shot, actually. Tried the panning thingy again. I was quite far from the vehicle (used my camera’s maximum 48x zoom), hence the icky/granular texture to that shot. The folded effect on top was made using photoshop. Those “holes” weren’t done through photoshop, though; they were overexposed areas and when I tried copying the photo to the background, well …. those overexposed areas weren’t copied. Hence the holes. I think it looks neat. LOL
