Food Friday: Pizza

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Did a fast digiscrapped thingy today … well under an hour! hahaha …

Would love to be having this pizza (Yellow Cab’s gourmet garden pizza with extra heapings of cheese …) for dinner… but got chicken instead. Not complaining. Loved the roasted chicken.

Yeah, starting to feel Christmas-sy already. Getting cooler, too.

There’s a typhoon right now … good thing there’s not even a tiny drizzle here in our place, but in other parts it’s really strong.

Hoping and praying that nobody will get hurt …

Still Offline …

oh my … more than 12hours already, and photobucket’s still offline! I have there most of my pictures for this blog! Is it just a few accounts who are affected?

This isn’t fun anymore, photobucket. I guess that’s what’s wrong with free sites; you can’t complain much because it is a free site! Now on the other hand if you were paying, well, you can of course file a complaint and hope somebody answers. Still, you need to wait …

Aaaarrggghhh … I am not particularly fond of waiting games … !!

Need Help with Moving?

Have you ever tried moving? I meant, of course, moving to another place/house/apartment; somewhere far from your current home. My family and I have, for around three times already; and believe me, it is no easy feat! Specially since we didn’t know which removal services to hire the first time, or if the removal quote that was shown to us was justifiable.

It was a good thing that the company where hubby worked helped us move our stuffs to the next house. I wasn’t too satisfied with the mover’s service, though, since some of my potted plants got smashed. Oh well, I guess it was sort of understandable since our stuffs had to cross the sea and travel for around three hours by land. Still …

Image Hosted by ImageShack.usI’m sure that MoveMe.com’s affiliated companies could have made a much better work than the one that we had! With the help of their move planner, moving can now be stress-free! The planner can alert you to tasks that needs your attention, and you can even organize your tasks online for easy access. Home survey, van hire, home move instructions, and child benefit are just some of the services you’ll find over at their online move planner. And you know what’s the best part? It’s all for free!

So the next time you, or anybody you know, need to move to another house again, check out MoveMe.com and moving day will never be the same again!

Thankful Thursday

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

It’s Thursday again … time to reflect and be thankful! :)

  • I am so thankful that we managed to survive a short “crisis” recently; some harsh words were spoken, though not yet totally forgotten, but totally forgiven.
  • My mother got hospitalized a while back and being anemic, she had to undergo blood transfusion; she’s out of the hospital now, and my sister told me that she’s already doing fine.
  • I am so thankful that my son loves going to school and even if sometimes I have to prod him to do his homework, arrange his stuffs and get things ready for the next school day, he does so without any complaints.
  • I am so thankful to be ALIVE!

God doesn’t require us to succeed; he only requires that you try.

Thank you so much for the hostess of this week’s Thankful Thursday: Laurel Wreath

Pop-ups

I used to be so annoyed with those pop-ups that kept bugging me … good thing I already have my own popup blocker. Sometimes one or two do manage to pass through my firefox, and I still get annoyed. Well, who wouldn’t be annoyed, huh?! Specially if it’s all advertisements (which is usually the case 90% of the time)!

In fairness, though, some sites do use pop-ups in a “good way”. :)

Baffling …

No idea why, but I can’t seem to “read” the captcha letters over at PPP … I noticed that yesterday, when I was elligible for an $18 opportunity (yeah, the color was “white”). If you’re a PPP postie, you’ll know what I mean by the “white” color. :D

Went there again today, and still the same thing. Already wrote a ticket … :(
I like the new addition, though … their RealRank.

Diet

Now that Christmas is approaching, it is going to be another season filled with lots and lots of food for all of us! This means additional weight gain again, too!

I know we really shouldn’t overeat during times like these, but to be honest, sometimes I just can’t help it! The viand, the cakes and pastries … oh my!

Maybe I should just try that hoodia patch, huh?! :)

My Aunt and Uncle

My aunt and uncle, while still living in the USA, used to love traveling. They stay in different hotels every time they travel. They sometimes have a hard time choosing which hotels to stay in, though.

One time they were asked to go to Las Vegas because of a friend’s wedding, and it was a good thing their friend chose the right one for them, from the list of Vegas hotels that they were given. They immensely enjoyed their stay there, that I know they went back again a couple or so more of times.

How I knew all about this? They sent me pictures! Wouldn’t want to post here the pictures without their permission, though, so for now you will just have to rely on your imagination what you can do in Vegas! :)

Behind the Decision: A Meme

I was recently tagged by Sasha about this interesting meme … the reason why I decided to monetize my blog.

~ TAG STARTS HERE ~

~ TAG ENDS HERE ~

We all have our own reasons why we do the things that we do, and for some people, your way (or my way) might not sit well with them. I respect their opinions, and am hoping that they will respect mine.

I actually started blogging because I wanted to post my pictures. As simple as that! But it all became “complicated” when I noticed that I wasn’t that satisfied with my camera anymore. Hubby presented me with a new camera and pretty soon (like, about a year later) I felt that it was somehow lacking, too.

You know the feeling … like, you have this cellphone for some time … you like it a lot, but after about three years it’s already outdated? You don’t? Then it must just be me … lol.

This time, though, I don’t want hubby to give me the camera that I want ( canon eos 40D). But being a SAHM, I had no idea how I will be able to get that much cash … pretty impossible, I first thought. That is, until I read about a blogger post regarding her first dslr (digital single lens reflex) camera, which she bought through her problogging activities! That certainly sparked my decision to turn my blogger blog into a monetized blog. Pretty soon, after getting my own domain, I decided to do the same, too!

But now that I have the cash (and more), it somehow seems so trivial using most of it on just one object, the camera. So I have instead decided to “give” most of it away, to family members. Christmas season or not, I know I’ll be happier this way. Nope, I’m not being a martyr here, or anything. I am just doing what’s best for everyone. Including myself.

Besides, if I continue with my problogging activities, pretty soon I will be able to raise the same amount, too!

I hope LordManilaStone and Zen will be able to share with us their reason(s) why they have monetized their blogs, too.

No pressure; just share with us if you feel like it. :)
