It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend.

I guess this is true … if a friend hurts us, we feel so bad, like we were betrayed, or something. The pain is deeper, since you wouldn’t expect a friend to do that; but if an enemy does the same thing to you, you wouldn’t feel as hurt since you were expecting your enemy to do just that!
Life is kind of complicated this way.
