Nazareth Cross
Can you imagine a really big cross that you can see even if you are very far away? Something like a beacon? Well, that is exactly what Bishop Riah Abu Al-Asal, the chairman of the Foundation of Nazareth, together with other local leaders and clergymen, are planning to do.
They have set up a Nazareth Cross Project where they aim to have constructed the world’s biggest and impressive cross. This will not be just any huge cross, since there will also be a church inside, as well as a world class educational and leisure center. There will also be a way from the cross to other historic Christian Churches, as well as the city’s central bazaars, courtesy of the monorail transport system.
A very ambitious plan, indeed, but one that is possible. You can help build the cross by buying rights for personal engravings that are made on 5 x 2 cm individual glass tiles which will adorn both the inside and outside parts of the cross. After your purchase, a certificate with your personal engraving numbers will be sent to you.
Nazareth history has really been interesting through the years, and seeing something like this in Nazareth Jerusalem would really be something that’s wonderful.
