Questia, Your Online Library
Filed Under (paidpost, sr) by snippets

Questia

In this age, it is now more convenient to digitalize almost everything. Aside from saving space (compare the disc drive to the filing cabinet at the office), it will also make researching for your certain topic easier and faster! That’s what you will get when you visit Questia, the world’s largest online library of full-text copyrighted books and educational resources.

Questia

Once you visit their site you will have the option to subscribe to their newsletter; and once you subscribe, you will gain free access to featured books. That is certainly a good incentive, specially if you do a lot of researching. While at the site, you can see an overview of what you will be getting once you become a paid subscriber, and everything looks promising enough. Over 5,000 free books are available for every visitor to read, and would you believe I started reading a bit of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan of the Apes before writing this! Another neat offering is the free subscription to a trial set of books in one of four available categories: Ethics, Leadership, Psychology, or Early American History.

Being a paid subscriber, you will have unlimited use of their books, magazines, and journal articles no matter how many may be accessing them at the same time; so convenient! No more waiting in que to read a certain book. You will also have some tools like the ability to write notes on a book’s margin and highlight some words, just like handling a book physically. What’s more, the library will always be accessible to you; the time and day wouldn’t matter.

Interested? This will certainly be beneficial not only to teachers, but also to students, hobbyists, researchers, and others who would want to have access to an online library all the time. So go ahead, check them out!

Portable DVD Player from DigitalFramez.com
Filed Under (paidpost, sm) by snippets

portable DVD playerHave you ever tried going on long trips with a three year old? Well, hubby and I have, when our son was barely three years old; it wasn’t the best ride ever, but it wasn’t the worst either. I had to rack my brains trying to make sure that my son wasn’t getting all cranky because of the long ride, and I was really thankful when after drinking his milk he’d doze off. That gave me time to rest, too. Another good thing was that I wasn’t driving … that was hubby’s territory. Not that stressful, really, so we did those long trips quite often. Too bad about our neighbor, though. Their daughter was so cranky when they came with us in another car, I could hear her daughter crying!

I believe they could have pacified her if they had a portable DVD player along. If they had a portable 10 inch DVD player from DigitalFramez.com, most probably their daughter would have been less cranky. She loved watching her Disney videos, so she would have been too much preoccupied to make a tantrum. We survived the trip, all of us.

Well, that was almost five years ago, but still, having a portable DVD player along inside the car would still help minds from getting bored!

Robert Frost
In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.
Robert Frost

Living really is something that we need not take for granted; it might seem kind of callous for some, but when someone leaves, or when something bad (or good) happens, you have no choice: life goes on.
We should, too. Besides, if someone else is depending on you, it is up to you to continue …

Just my ramblings.

Coupon Codes at CouponChief.com

Earlier today I was at a grocery store, browsing through the goods, and looking at the prices; I was amazed since I remember that the prices a decade ago was half the amount that I was seeing now! Oh well, it was a decade ago already, I thought to myself, while continuing on through the aisles. Suddenly the speaker system belted out this Christmas jingle, and it made me realize that Christmas is only just around two months away! Oh my … another trip to the mall is needed! Don’t get me wrong; I love shopping, but not when there are a million of shoppers trying to get that one blouse inside the store!

Coupon Codes

I’m glad that there are coupon codes available over at CouponChief.com! I’m sure my 8 year-old son would love to take his peek among the gadgets and stuffs being offered over over at the site, so that means I’ll check out those Shop4Tech deals; while Hubby would most definitely love to take a look at the dvd and navigation for his car, so I believe I’ll check out those CarDomain.com coupons. As for me, I still haven’t decided yet … after all, Christmas is still around two months away!
