i have always been a fan of rice…because of our culture, perhaps … :))
we recently found a restaurant that makes a really good congee, [hehe, in our humble opinion] ( from here, it says that congee is also called jook, or juk, in China, and khao tom gung, in Thailand) which we call here as “lugaw”..a satisfying meal without being heavy on the belly… :)) *that’s seafood congee..all those wonderful additions (fillet of fish, shrimp, squid -the “skin” looked peeled, and it was this all white meat already- and squidballs) are underneath all that hot gruel… |
