My FF post is a day early… 
This is something that’s quite appropriate for New Year. 
My family have been receiving them every now and then from some of the Benedictine Sisters which have become like family members through the years. Those are what we call as ‘life cookies’ (they have a German name for it, lebkuchen, which roughly translates to “life cookies” or “honey cakes” … ). Too bad I don’t have their recipe… tastes nice and quite moist.

Snack …
That’s my snack … quite nice, really. And I didn’t have to use any electric blanket even if my frappucino was really cold. lol. These days hubby has more time with the family, so we have been having fun. And yes, for me eating is also fun. I love trying out the new restaurants that has been sprouting up, but my son is not as enthusiastic. He still prefers his Japanese food and Starbucks. But am not complaining, really. After all, there is a possibility that that might change; after all, he’s only nine years old.

After all the eating that I will be having this holiday, I think I might be needing a reliable fat burner. lol. Though of course I will try not to eat too much. It’s just that during times like this there are certain foods that are being specially prepared; which is almost like a “seasonal” item, on the menu. Like my mom’s ham, or my father’s “dinuguan”. It has been ages since I’ve tasted those, though. I hope I’ll get to taste them again real soon …
