Thankful Thursday

Published by snippets under Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday

I haven’t had the chance to participate in the previous Thankful Thursdays because things have been pretty hectic; in fact, they still are. Am just thankful that I really have the time to join this time! :)

Am also thankful for the roof over my head (specially during these hot and humid summer days), and for my understanding (and loving) son and husband. My sister and a nephew will be coming over next week and am glad to have the chance to be seeing them again! :)

Life is great! :razz:

Trav’s First Trivia Meme

Published by snippets under meme, tagged

Elaine tagged me with this meme and it’s fun! :)

I’m participating in Trav’s First Trivia Meme.

The rules are as follows:
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to:
1. Choose a category from one of these: Television, Stage & Screen, Nightly News, Publishing, Lives & Times, Music
2. Find 8 bits of trivia about your selected category
3. Be sure to let me know you decide to play along so I can see what you come up with.
4. You may tag, or simply offer the meme for borrowing or stealing as you like.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Decided to choose Television and since I love watching sci-fi movies, here are 8 bits of trivia about X-Files.
  1. When was it first aired on television?  September 10, 1993
  2. What were some of the slogans that became popular because of the series?  “The Truth Is Out There”, “I Want To Believe”, and “Trust No One”.
  3. Who were the two main characters?   FBI agents Fox Mulder (played by David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (played by Gillian Anderson).
  4. The creator, Chris Carter, lived where?  California
  5. What list from TIME magazine (2007) were they included?  100 Best TV Shows of All Time
  6. What are some of the awards that the show received?   American Peabody, Golden Globe, and the Emmy Award
  7. How many seasons did the show run?  Nine
  8. When did it end?  May 19, 2002
Not really tagging anyone … but if you like this, then go and post it on your site! :lol:
Pet Stuffs
Published by snippets under blogging
We used to have a German Shepherd dog a while back and we practically spoiled her! I know, it’s not good, but my family and I love our pets, and we would do everything we can to make sure that they are comfortable and healthy. She was really smart, too, though quite territorial. She took her job as a guardian seriously and I know that she would protect us from anybody that would try to harm us.
I have one sister who got a cat and she got her pet a cute cat tree! If our German Shepherd’s still with us I know that we will find something for her, too. However, I’m sure that wherever she is right now, she is contented and most probably still watching over us! :)
